FILLED WITH THE FULLNESS OF GOD

Eugene was not trying to make his young people into some form of disembodied monks. Rather, he was sharing with them what was a treasure for him: a positive God-related attitude that would lead them to a full life within their everyday activities.

Art. 38. But this prayer is not to be passing and momentary. On the contrary, it must be continuous: “they should always pray and never give up” [ed. Luke 18:1] Such is the commandment of the Saviour. But how to pray always? Is it possible? Yes, without doubt, because since it is Jesus who orders it, let no one deceive himself by believing that it is difficult. On the contrary it is very easy, and a practice that is most consoling.

Constant prayer is that of consciously desiring to have a positive God-related attitude in all things – at school, at home, during their games, etc.

I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:18-19
