{"id":6204,"date":"2025-11-24T01:00:50","date_gmt":"2025-11-24T00:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eugenedemazenod.net\/?p=6204"},"modified":"2025-11-23T15:38:30","modified_gmt":"2025-11-23T14:38:30","slug":"prayer-as-a-stimulus-to-action-rule-9a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eugenedemazenod.net\/?p=6204","title":{"rendered":"PRAYER AS A STIMULUS TO ACTION (Rule 9a)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400; padding-left: 80px;\"><em><strong>Action on behalf of justice, peace and the integrity of creation is an integral part of evangelization.<\/strong><\/em> (Rule 9a)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Congregation\u2019s General Service of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation, in response to a mandate of our 37th\u00a0General Chapter, has prepared a guide for individuals and communities to pray using Pope Francis\u2019 2015 encyclical letter,\u00a0Laudato Si\u2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using insights from the encyclical letter, this guide presents Scripture passages, texts, stories and images from the Oblate tradition. Its aim is to lead to reflection, prayer, and commitment to action. The guide is not intended as a study guide to\u00a0<em>Laudato S\u00ed\u2019<\/em>. Texts from the letter are presented for the purpose of inspiration and prayer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The guide may be used by individuals or communities. One theme may be selected for a day of prayer, or several themes may be used over an extended time of retreat. The themes presented are suggestions; others may be developed by users. The motivation for the choice of these is that they show an aspect of the Pope\u2019s encyclical letter as it is read through the chosen lens of GS-JPIC:\u00a0<em>Praying with Laudato S\u00ed\u2019 using insights drawn from listening to the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor<\/em>.
