I answered him saying that I had in fact authorised this association of the Adorers of the Blessed Sacrament because I could seenothing that was not edifying in the idea and that the promoters of this devotion were all very pious persons who rightly attached great value to thesuccess of their work.<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>I also said that at first I feared that this new association would infringe upon the older one which has been active for a long time in my diocese andwhich is the work of the institute of our Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament whose mother house is in Marseilles; but that in fact the one did not interfere with the other and that our divine Saviour was all the more honoured in the sacrament of his love.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: right;\">Eugene de Mazenod&#8217;s Diary, 4 November 1849, EO XXII.<\/h3>\n<h3><strong>REFLECTION<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3>To respond to the spiritual and material needs of his diocese, Bishop Eugene founded many associations of laity dedicated to specific aspects of his ministry. With his solid devotion to the Eucharist, one can understand why spreading this devotion was so close to his heart.<\/h3>\n<h3>&#8220;The time you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the best time that you will spend on earth.
