My God, my love and my all: Deus meus et omnia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Notes made during the retreat in preparation for priestly ordination, Eugene\u2019s objective was to live every aspect of his existence as an expression of his ideal \u201cto live only for God\u201d through his vowed commitment, which he called \u201coblation.\u201d He articulated this in a lifestyle of service to others as an Oblate.<\/p>\n Fernand Jette\u2019, a former Oblate Superior General beautifully described this relationship:<\/p>\n Adherence to Jesus Christ was a distinguishing feature of Eugene’s whole life.
